Helping Pastors and Church Leaders Move from Burnout to Breakthrough.
Many pastoral families and churches in the United States of America are in crisis. There are various stressors, sicknesses, and sin that are taking their toll on today’s leaders. Understanding the solution is easier than living it out. I have come to realize that what is often needed is someone to walk with those that desire to provide– healthy, visionary leadership!
Life is good but ministry can be messy.
- 38% of pastors are thinking of quitting the ministry.
- It is estimated that 15,000 churches will close in 2025.
- Over half of churches in America cannot pay their pastor a full-time salary.
- Many of our part-time pastors have multiple jobs to survive.
- 84% of pastors feel they are on call 24/7.
- 80% believe pastoral ministry has negatively affected their families. Many pastor’s children do not attend church now because of what the church has done to their parents.
- 65% of pastors feel their family lives in a “glass house” and fear they are not good enough to meet expectations.
- 66% of church members expect a minister and family to live at a higher moral standard than themselves.
- 90% of pastors report the ministry was completely different than what they thought it would be like before they entered the ministry.
- 57% of pastors being unable to pay their bills.
And things aren’t getting any easier.
I’ve been there. I’ve been in pastoral leadership for 30 years.
Now, I coach, teach, and encourage pastoral leaders, especially those who are experiencing leadership burnout.
I’ve experienced what it’s like to go from a vital sense of calling and purpose to the valley of frustration and isolation. That is not a good place to be!
If you are there, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
